Who Are We Looking For

The HR Business Partner (APAC) will lead human resources operations across the region, partnering with senior leadership to drive people strategies, support business objectives, and cultivate a positive workplace culture. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this role oversees the full spectrum of HR activities, including operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance, while acting as a trusted advisor to employees and managers across multiple markets.

What You'll Do

  • HR Operations & Administration
    • Manage day-to-day HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, contract preparation, employee changes, and benefits administration.
    • Maintain accurate HR records and employee data through systems such as BambooHR, ensuring all documentation is compliant and up to date.
    • Support payroll preparation by providing accurate employment information and coordinating with finance teams.
  • Employee Relations & Culture
    • Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries related to HR policies, procedures, and employment matters.
    • Lead resolution of employee relations issues, including conflict management, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
    • Support initiatives that promote engagement, inclusion, and alignment with company culture across APAC offices.
  • Talent Acquisition Support
    • Oversee recruitment logistics, including job postings, applicant tracking, candidate communication, and interview scheduling.
    • Ensure all recruitment processes comply with internal policies and provide a positive candidate experience from application to offer stage.
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with local labour laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare accurate HR reports, analytics, and leave reconciliations to support leadership and operational decision-making.
  • Regional HR Leadership
    • Collaborate with senior leaders across APAC to align HR initiatives with business priorities and workforce needs.
    • Provide regional insights on talent, culture, and policy development, contributing to consistent and effective HR practices across the region.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in human resources, ideally within digital marketing, advertising, or a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Solid understanding of HR operations, employee relations, talent acquisition, and APAC employment legislation.
  • Certifications are desirable but not required: Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Certified Human Resources Manager (CHRM), and certifications from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI)
  • Experience using HR platforms such as BambooHR, Monday.com, and BreezyHR is highly preferred.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages relevant to the APAC region are advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Influential communicator with the ability to build credibility, advise stakeholders, and drive HR initiatives independently.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth environment with the ability to adapt to ambiguity.
  • Proactive, service-oriented, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Key Information To Note

This role will report to the Global Chief People Officer (London) and APAC Chief Executive Officer (Sydney)
