Who Are We Looking For

Our client is a fast-growing AI-native technology company built to help people discover and engage with intelligent products more easily. As search shifts from traditional rankings to AI-generated answers and conversational discovery, the business is looking for a GEO/SEO Manager to lead its organic and AI-search visibility from the ground up. It's a hands-on role suited to someone equally comfortable with classic SEO discipline and the emerging craft of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) — shaping how the brand shows up not just on Google, but inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and whatever comes next.

What You'll Do

🛠️ Core Responsibilities

  • Owns end-to-end SEO and GEO strategy across the company's digital properties
  • Structures and optimises content for AI answer engines, focusing on citations, entity confidence, and passage-level optimisation
  • Leads technical SEO audits, keyword research, and competitor analysis
  • Builds and maintains a GEO scorecard, tracking inclusion and citation rates across priority AI platforms
  • Partners closely with content, product, and engineering teams on schema markup, structured data, and technical fixes
  • Monitors organic and AI-search performance, reporting insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Keeps a close eye on algorithm shifts and evolving AI search behaviour to keep strategy current

What You Bring

🎯 Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years' experience in SEO, with recent hands-on exposure to GEO/AEO or AI search optimisation
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO tooling, including Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and GA4
  • Solid grasp of technical SEO fundamentals — site structure, schema/JSON-LD, crawlability
  • A track record of turning data into clear strategy and measurable results
  • Excellent written English and confidence working directly with stakeholders
  • Genuine curiosity about where search is heading, backed by a point of view
