Why Cultural Mismatches Are Common and Costly
The MarTech Summit Manila (Jul 2)
A standout event for marketing teams scaling in SEA. Strong themes around CRM, retention, and analytics especially relevant for brand teams in e-commerce and digital-first industries.
Why it matters: We expect a wave of mid-senior CRM and lifecycle roles post-summit.
The MarTech Summit Hong Kong (Jul 8)
Quieter, but with strong in-house brand attendance.
Watch for: Cross-border roles focused on content performance, especially across China/SEA.
Programmatic & Digital Media
ATS Singapore 2025 (Jul 2)
One of the most practical programmatic and digital media events in the region.
Hiring signal: Demand-side leads, agency-side account managers, and ad tech partnerships.
Bonus: The ATS Afterparty is always worth a mention. Quietly one of the best spots for cross-agency networking.
PR, Reputation & Corporate Comms
PR Asia 2025 (Aug 20, Singapore)
Comms leaders are being pulled into everything from crisis response to ESG. This is where they gather.
Tip: Watch this space if you’re hiring for senior brand or policy-facing roles in Q4.
Cybersecurity (And Why Marketers Should Care)
CyberSecVietnam + CyberSecIndonesia (Sept 24)
Often skipped by marketers but as data, risk, and compliance shift into the CX stack, this matters more than people think.
Who should track it: Marketing ops, CX leads, and anyone touching first-party data.
Emerging Themes: Gaming, Web3 & Culture Crossovers
ChinaJoy 2025 Shanghai, China (Jul 26–29, Shanghai, China)
ChinaJoy (aka China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference) is Asia’s largest gaming and digital entertainment event, think CES energy, but for immersive tech, gaming, web3, and virtual platforms.
If you’re in media, youth culture, or future-facing brand work, keep an eye on this one. The tech collabs and sponsorship activations alone are wild.
Generalist, But Useful
DigiMarCon Southeast Asia (Sept 18, Singapore)
Always a good pulse check. Wide range of marketing roles show up here from channel specialists to brand managers.
Hiring trend: Great for passive sourcing and understanding where SEA marketers are focusing spend.
Why We Track These
Because events don’t just reflect trends they create them. We look at:
• Who’s sponsoring, speaking, or hiring soon after
• What tools or platforms are gaining traction
• Which job titles show up more often right after
And we share them to help our network make better moves.
